Information
Ready-to-Run is pleased to offer the Hosted License in
addition to our Floating and Node-Locked licenses.
Hosted
Licenses
The RTR Hosted license offers the versatility of a Floating license
with the simplicity of a Node-Locked. The Hosted license is the
answer for people who are using a 3rd party hosting service and do not
have access to a physical machine to run their own license server or
just don't want the overhead of running a license server.
There are some
differences.

The FPSE client
rtrfpse.lic file now points to the RTR Primary and Failover License
Servers instead of the license server on your physical machine

A new password
file (rtr_fpse.pwd) is required for access to the RTR Primay and
Failover License Servers

All RTR FrontPage
Server Extensions licenses are now MULTIYEAR renewable

2, 4, 6, 8, 10 year renewable

A Hosted License:

Allows
installation and use of the RTR FrontPage Server Extensions on virtual
or physical machines

Allows access to
the RTR Hosted License Server and does not require
that you have a license server to be running (rlm.exe) on a physical
machine

Allows the sites from a single
license to be parceled out to multiple IIS servers and FrontPage
Server Extensions

Includes Failover License Server
protection (a total of 4 license servers in 3 different states and Canada)

1-10 year renewable Hosted license
A Floating license:

Requires a
license server to be running (rlm.exe) on a physical
machine

Is not required
to be on the same machine as the IIS server and the FrontPage Server
Extensions
